Amare Fikre is a self-taught artist born and raised in Addis Ababa. Amare draws much of his inspiration from local traditions and communal rituals, particularly the iconic Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony. A full time studio artist, Amare has dedicated his life to capturing the essence of Ethiopian social life through his art. Amare lives in Addis Ababa with his wife and their two children. He continues to paint and reflect the evolving stories of his community through his unique artistic lens.
