Dawit is a seasoned Ethiopian artist, born in the small town of Debre Zeit, just outside the capital city of Addis Ababa. Now 52 years old, Dawit has dedicated his life to art and works full-time as a studio artist. He is a graduate of the renowned Addis Ababa University School of Fine Arts, where he honed his skills and developed his unique artistic voice. Currently residing in Addis Ababa with his wife and daughters, Dawit continues to create from his home studio. Much of his work is inspired by the beauty, strength, and cultural heritage of Ethiopian women. Through bold color, texture, and expressive form, his paintings celebrate identity, tradition, and the everyday grace of Ethiopian womanhood.
