Minale Fikru

Minale was born in Addis Ababa and graduated from the Fine Arts program at Addis Ababa University. Now 37 years old, he is a full-time studio artist living and working in Addis Ababa. Minale is married and currently has no children.

His artistic inspiration is deeply rooted in African masks. A neighbor from Central Africa introduced him to books featuring traditional West African masks, which sparked his passion for this theme. In addition to African masks, Minale draws inspiration from the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, incorporating religious scenes and sacred places into his paintings. This blend of cultural and spiritual elements is central to his unique artistic vision.
