Roble Wolde

Robel was born in Ketchene, a town in the northern part of Addis Ababa known for its skilled craftsmanship in metalwork, pottery, and traditional clothing. He graduated from the Fine Arts program at Addis Ababa University. At 28 years old, Robel is a full-time studio artist currently living and working in Addis Ababa.

Robel draws much of his inspiration from Ethiopian Orthodox beliefs and culture. Growing up, he regularly attended weekend programs for children at Senbete Church, where he was often surrounded by priests who taught him the rituals and ceremonies of the Orthodox tradition. This early exposure profoundly shaped his artistic vision and dedication.

Robel is recognized for his talent, passion, and commitment to his craft, bringing deep cultural and spiritual insight into his artwork.
