Yonas Tesfaye is a full-time studio artist based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Born in the northern city of Bahir Dar, Yonas spent his early years immersed in rural life—herding cattle and exploring the farmlands that surrounded his home. He holds a degree in Fine Arts from Addis Ababa University. Now 39 years old, Yonas continues to draw inspiration from Ethiopia’s countryside and the everyday lives of its people. His work often reflects a deep connection to the land, tradition, and the quiet strength of rural communities.
